 Sessions 1,2,3,4 This course is designed to introduce adult Venturing Crew leaders to the basic information needed for operating a crew or ship. It includes (1) Here’s Venturing, (2) Understanding and Protecting Youth, (3) Leadership and Organization, (4) Advancement, and (5) Resources and Program Planning. (Required for Trained position patch).
SST 120 08:00 Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)
 Sessions 1,2,3,4 This training is designed to provide the initial and basic information adults need to successfully take Cub Scouts camping. The Tour Plan requires that a BALOO trained leader be present for pack overnight camping. Failure to have a BALOO trained leader on a pack overnight camping trip may invalidate the BSA insurance. It will have both an indoor and outdoor component and will run all day.

08:00 Introduction to Cub Scouting / How We Have Fun
 Session 1 The first portion of this session will introduce you to the Cub Scout program. Topics covered will include the foundations, purposes, and methods of Scouting. Cub Scouts 12 core values, age appropriate activities, Youth Protection and Becoming a Bobcat. The second portion, How We Have Fun, will cover a basic Cub Scout month introducing you to Den and Pack meetings. Other topics covered will include Pack organization, the Cub Scout program, the Cub Scout year, parent involvement, Cub Scout activities, resources and recognition.
SST 260 08:00 Leave No Trace Awareness
 Sessions 1,2 Learn that Leave No Trace is not just a concept but a way to conduct all of your outdoor experiences. This classroom course will cover the basics of Leave No Trace principles and how to apply them in your outdoor adventures. It covers both front country and back country principles. This course is open to all youth and leaders. You will receive Awareness certification from BSA and LNT COE upon successful completion of this course.

 Session 1 Youth protection training and a current certification are mandatory for all adults leaders. This certification is good for 2 years. All adult leaders must take this course every 2 years.
